Check out Ringette Canadas short little video, the link is under the pictures to the right! Here are a few memorable pictures of typical events during a tournament on the UNB Raiders!
UNB Raiders 2007-2008 We are off to the best start in years! We had 30 girls turn up at our first meeting and ice time! We have decided to have two teams this year a competitive team and a house team. Our competitive team will play in the the NB League and away tournments and our house team will scrimmage against our competitive team and participate in the Fredericton Tournament.
Good luck to all the girls trying out for UNB's competitive team! They are being carefully evaluated by 5 volunteers all having a long history of playing &/or coaching ringette.
Be sure to keep updated! Check the Team Updates page for upcoming meetings/activities and the Schedule page for our games and all ice times.
Who Are WeThe UNB Ringette Raiders have a club status with the University Of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. This means that anybody can play and you do not nescessarily have to be a student at the university. For more information on the members of the club/team check out the
Team Roster link above.
Team Goals
One of our biggest goals as a club is to maintain our status so that the girls coming up in the younger divisions have somewhere to go and look forward to becoming a UNB Raider. There are many ways to achieve this goal. We focus on promoting the sport to the younger divisions holding clinics and camps. We have some players that help out in such a way as coaching and becoming an official. This is the individuals choice to give back to the sport. The younger ones love the attention and the parents & associations have grown to really appreciate the UNB Raiders. We are getting bigger and other associations in the province are coming to us to give day camps, this can also be used as an excellent way to fundraise for the individuals that participate.
